WHAT DO YOU DO!?!?!?!

So, last night I was walking home with my bff, and we passed this new business in my neighborhood. The windows were covered in bright colored striped paper, with signs about how it was "coming soon!"

Then one window had a sign with a ton of words printed on it:
love, life, laughter, inspiration, fearless, expression, happiness... blah blah blah

So... what is this store?
From my powers of deduction, I think it's either a scented candle store, or an erotic massage parlor.

Last week, on the bus, I saw a business called "Pavilion." I looked in the window, and it was just a wide open room with blank walls and a desk in one corner with an older man sitting at it.

Soooo... does this place sell Pavilions? Are they somehow metaphorically a Pavilion?

I even googled it, and based on the results, I'm pretty sure that business was a figment of my imagination.

Why not just name things something that makes sense? Like, if it's an advertising agency, how about you just throw the word advertising in there somewhere? Is that too much trouble?

Is that not cool? It's cooler to make up a word?

My business is going to be called "Evocatate." And... we sell lamps.

Brilliant. I'm sure everyone will rush out to Evocatate with bags of money.

  1. Although, is it just me or does everyone automatically NOT want to call that repair guy that has the word 'budget' or 'affordable' in their business title?

  2. Oh totally. That's like when a person keeps mentioning how honest they are. Probably not the case.
